Welcome to Saint Anthony's Health Center!
On behalf of our sponsors, the Sisters of St. Francis of the Martyr St. George, and our Mission Partners who work at Saint Anthony's Health Center in Alton, IL, I welcome you to www.sahc.org -- an on-line introduction to our health system.
Saint Anthony's Health Center has a long history of providing health care to the greater Alton community -- it all started in 1925 when five pioneering Sisters of St. Francis traveled from Germany to America -- on a Mission. A Mission to serve others by sharing Christ's merciful love. With their American Motherhouse here in Alton adjacent to our Health Center's main campus, the Sisters offer a special healing touch to our community.
Over the years, that Mission has grown exponentially into a multi-campus health system with cutting-edge technology and highly trained health care professionals with loving hearts. As the area’s only non-profit Catholic hospital, we know the value of reinvesting in our facilities and our people to better meet your needs. We continuously upgrade our technology and facilities, and serve our neighbors — not only through medical excellence, but also with genuine care and compassion. Caring for others, we feel, is a privilege we earn.
We are grateful for the opportunity to care for the sick, welcome new life in to the world and provide health education programs that can improve our community's quality of life. We thank you for your interest in Saint Anthony's Health Center. God Bless.
