Shh Program Starts at Saint Anthony's Health Center
(July 13, 2012) -- Thanks to the children of several Mission Partners at Saint Anthony's Health Center, our patients and visitors will be experiencing our new quiet initiative called: Shh (Sleep helps healing).
Specially designed posters, featuring the children dressed as health care professionals and sisters, will be displayed on nursing units, with a message about how our Mission Partners are working to keep noise levels at a minimum to help patients rest.
Our thanks to the little models: Liam Breden (son of Sabrina Breden, Patient Care Services), Elyza Hurn (daughter of Kelli Hurn, Quality Management), Eric Braundmeier (son of Sarah Braundmeier, Patient Experience), Leah O’Neill (daughter of Maggie O’Neill, Women’s Pavilion); Jordan Ingold (son of Stevie Ingold, Patient Experience) and Isabella Paynic (daughter of Jessica Hettick, 2 South).
“Unfortunately, some noises cannot be helped or prevented, such as IV pumps, call lights and quite possible, other patients,” says Sarah Braundmeier, Manager of Patient Experience. “But we want to encourage our patients to tell us if a noise is keeping them from resting.”
