Saint Anthony's Health Center is announcing that Ahmed Ali, M.D.,Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Physician, has recently joined the medical staff as part of the ComPAS Network physician’s group.
Dr. Ali completed his medical school training from the University of Karachi, Pakistan in 1988, where he also completed residencies in Internal Medicine and Surgery during 1988-89. He graduated as a Physiatrist from Barnes-Jewish Hospital of St. Louis/ Washington University Medical Center in 2004 before completing a three year residency and fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at St. Louis University in 2007, where he had excellent training and exposure to a wide range of high level acuity patients both at SLU and the Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis.
Dr. Ali has participated in extensive research on diseases and disabilities associated with the aging process, including high risk gait, balance and fall issues, frailty, long term care needs, and dementia.
Dr. Ali provides treatment, diagnostic and interventional procedures to a wide range of patients with musculoskeletal disorders, especially in the elderly, as well as chronic pain conditions of the knee, shoulder, back and neck, stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, debilitation and traumatic injuries which require physical rehabilitation.
Dr. Ali is available to see patients in the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit and Extended Care Facility on the campus of Saint Clare’s Hospital, and in his outpatient practice in Suite 205 of the Physician Office Building at Saint Anthony’s Hospital.
