Home Health Care Billing Information
Home Health Care is paid fully or partially by a variety of methods. Financial questions or concerns pertaining to Home Health Care may be directed to the Home Health Care billing department, 618/463-5289.
- Medicare -- The cost of services provided to persons eligible for Medicare benefits may be either partially or completely defrayed by Medicare. Frequency and duration of services are subject to Medicare's reimbursement guidelines. No prior hospitalization is required to receive Medicare coverage. Skilled services must be necessary to qualify for unskilled services (home health aides).
- Illinois Department of Public Aid (IDPA) -- Home Health services are reimbursed by Public Aid in accordance with current guidelines.
- Non-Medicare -- Patients with private insurers are charged on a fee for service basis. We will bill the private insurer directly. Some private insurance companies cover the cost of home health services. We will communicate with your insurance company and notify you of any co-payments.
- Managed Care Companies -- Saint Anthony's Home Health Care has contracts with numerous managed care organizations.
