Occupational therapists are skilled in addressing daily functional limitations through the use of therapeutic methods, applied and assistive technologies, and environmental modifications. The term “occupational” refers to any actions that are meaningful to the individual within the environment is which he/she lives and functions. Common diagnoses seen by Occupational Therapist include:
- Injuries (brain, spinal cord, back)
- Neurological disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis, Guillain Barre
- Stroke
- Sensory disorders
