CPR, First Aid and ACLS Classes

Saint Anthony's CPR and First Aid classes reflect the latest American Heart Association guidelines to give students more "hands on" time for skill practice.  

 

  • Healthcare Provider CPR (professional):  Covers 1 man/2man, adult/child CPR, barrier devices, use of AED's and infant CPR. Appropriate for RN, LPN, EMT, nursing students
  • Heartsaver CPR (layperson):  Covers Adult/Child/Infant CPR with barrier device. Appropriate for medical/dental office staff, child care staff
  • First Aid:  Covers basic First Aid, medical, injury and environmental emergencies.
 

Class Location:  All classes are held at Saint Clare's Professional Building, 815 E. Fifth Street, Alton.  

 

Class registration is required for all CPR and First Aid classes:  First Aid and CPR Books are issued with class payment and must be obtained 72 hours prior to the class in order to confirm your registration. Class payments are accepted over the phone with a credit card - call 618/465-2264; or in person at Saint Anthony's Health Resource Center, located at Saint Clare's Hospital, 915 E. Fifth Street, Alton;  Monday - Friday; between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

AHA Online Training 

Infant CPR Anytime® 

The AHA’s Infant CPR Anytime personal learning program makes it possible for anyone to learn how to relieve choking infant and perform infant CPR. The kit contains everything needed to learn skills in about 20 minutes, and it can be used anywhere, from the comfort of home to a large community group setting.

 

Family & Friends® CPR Anytime® 

Family & Friends CPR Anytime Personal Learning Program allows anyone to learn the core skills of CPR in just 20 minutes using their own personal kit. The kit contains everything needed to learn basic CPR, AED skills and choking relief anywhere, from the comfort of your home to a large group setting.


ACLS 

Advanced Cardio Life Support Classes are designed for medical providers who may respond to cardiovascular emergencies. For information, contact Laura at 618/474-6267.  

Pediatric Emergency Assessment Recognition Stabilization 

Anyone who takes care of pediatric patients and wants to learn more about how to assess and care for them in an emergency situation can take this class. For more information, contact Laura at 618/474-6267.
